Death of Jesus

Besides this unanimity of opinion among the Companions, opinion held in the family of the Holy Prophet also supports the belief that Jesus died in the normal way. Imam Hassan, recounting the events relating to the death of Hazrat Ali, is reported to have said: "The man who has died today is without an equal in many respects. He had none like him either amongst his predecessors or among his successors. When the Holy Prophet sent him to battle, he had Gabriel on the right and Michael on the left to assist him. He never returned from a battle except as victor. He left seven hundred Derhams as bequest. He had saved this to purchase a slave's freedom. He died during the 27th night of the month of Ramadhan, the same night was the spirit of Jesus raised to Heaven."  (Tabaqat Ibn Sa'ad, Vol. 3) From this remark of Imam Hassan it appears that even according to the family of the Holy Prophet, Jesus died in the ordinary way. ہم لفظی اور حقیقی ہر معنی میں آنحضور صلی اﷲ علیہ وسلم کو خاتم النّبییّن تسلیم کرتے ہیں اور بادب اس تلخ حقیقت کی طرف توجہ مبذول کروانے کی جرأت کرتے ہیں کہ مُنکرینِ حدیث کے سوا ہمارے تمام مخالف فرقوں کے علماء آنحضور صلی اﷲ علیہ وسلم کو ان معنوں میں خاتم النبیین تسلیم نہیں کرتے۔ وہ یہ کہنے کے باوجود کہ آنحضور صلی اﷲ علیہ وسلم سب نبیوں کو ختم کرنے والے ہیں یہ متضاد ایمان رکھتے ہیں کہ آنحضور صلی اﷲ علیہ وسلم نعوذ باﷲ حضرت عیسیٰ ؑ بن مریم ؑ کو نہ تو جسمانی لحاظ سے ختم فرما سکے نہ ہی رُوحانی لحاظ سے۔ آپ ؐ کے ظہور کے وقت ایک ہی دوسرا نبی جسمانی لحاظ سے زندہ تھا مگر افسوس وہ آپ ؐ کی زندگی میں ختم نہ ہو سکا آپؐ وفات پاگئے لیکن وہ زندہ رہا اور اَب تو وصالِ نبوی ؐ پر بھی چودہ سَو برس گزرنے کو آئے لیکن ہنوز وہ اسرائیلی نبی زندہ چلا آرہا ہے۔ ذرا انصاف فرمائیے کہ خاتَم کے جسمانی معنوں کے لحاظ سے حیاتِ مسیح ؑ کا عقیدہ رکھنے والوں کے نزدیک دونوں میں سے کون خاتَم ٹھہرا۔  پھر یہی علماء رُوحانی لحاظ سے بھی عملاً مسیح ناصری ؑ ہی کو خاتَم تسلیم کر رہے ہیں کیونکہ یہ ایمان رکھتے ہیں کہ آنحضور صلی اﷲ ع...

Did Jesus create birds? Not according to this verse:   Surely those on whom you call upon instead of Allah cannot create even a fly, though they should all combine together for the purpose. And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they cannot recover it therefrom. Weak, indeed, are both the seeker and the sought. (22:74) It says that it is not in the power of false gods to create a creature as insignificant as a fly. If the ability to create a fly confers godhead, creation of a bird would undoubtedly do the same, even more so, since a bird is a higher order creature than a fly. One of the eventful incidents of the Third Khilafat was the ‘Deliverance of Jesus from The Cross Conference’(1) that took place in The Royal Commonwealth Institute in Kensington in London from 2 June to 4 June, 1978.
