Many Christians expect a literal, dramatic “second coming” — a descent from the skies in glory — while many Muslims likewise anticipate the physical return of ʿĪsā (Jesus) as a sign of the Last Days. But the Ahmadiyya Muslim perspective reads these texts differently: rather than a bodily, miraculous descent from heaven in our lifetime, mainstream Ahmadiyya interpretation holds that Jesus completed his earthly mission, died a natural death, and left a continuing spiritual legacy. A new poll finds that 26 percent of Americans believe the Jews killed Jesus. They’re historically ignorant, but they do read their Bible—that is who the New Testament blames, after all. The fundamental doctrines of Church Christianity are based upon the death of Jesus on the cross, his resurrection and his bodily ascension to heaven. Before shifting our gaze to the facts relating to Christ and his crucifixion, perhaps it would not be out of place to mention here, in brief, the Ahmadiyya Muslim understanding of what happened during and after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. This issue will be briefly touched upon here and a detailed discussion will follow later.

But consider this, if he was resurrected, was he given a physical body or a spiritual body? This should not be difficult to answer, after a life time of professing belief in resurrection!

Are These Crucifixion Scars? These remarkable footprints were found in the tomb  next to the sarcophagus. This was first reported in the  letter of Maulvi Abdullah  to Mirza Ghulam Ahmad  written at the end of the 19th  Century. Christianity and Islam share an acknowledgment and respect for Jesus and his mother Mary, differing only in the fact that Islam -- while accepting Christ as the messiah for the Israelites -- does not accord Jesus any form of Trinitarian divinity or godhood or physical sonship as do most forms of Christianity.
