Elijah or John : A lesson For Muslims

Elijah or John

Book of Malachi says :
the Verse is no 5 which says

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and terrible day of the LORD comes.  (Refrence)

When Jews asked the Prophet Hazrat Isa (a.s) that where is Elijah ?

10: For this is he of whom it is written: `Behold, I send My messenger before Thy face, who shall prepare Thy way before Thee.

11: Truly, I say to you, among those born of women there has risen no one greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

12: From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and men of violence take it by force.

13: For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John;

14: and if you are willing to accept it, he is Elijah who is to come.

15: He who has ears to hear, let him hear. .

(Reference)

See here how Hazrat Isa (a.s) called John the Elijah

Hazrat Isa (a.s) , the prophet of God , gave clear verdict about what is meant when the prophecies says an Old prophet shall come.
Learn a lesson from it , and do not follow the footsteps of the Jews. what they got by rejecting the prophet of the GOD . humiliation in this world and in the next world.

=========================
Elijah's story is not fabrication of Jews or Christians , it is authentic
=========================

How wrong it is when some one claims that because it is written in Bible so this is false story and that jews did not have the belief of ascension of Elijah.
Or because Quran have not corroborated it so we should throw this incident away.
Now if we say that this is not the authentic part and some one deliberately invented it then question will be who inserted this false Verse in the book of bible.

1) lets suppose the jews before the  Hazrat Isa (a.s)  inserted this false believe in book of bible that Elijah have gone to the sky and shall return .

if our supposition is true the when Jews demanded from  Hazrat Isa (a.s)  that where is Elijah ,  Hazrat Isa (a.s) must have told them that some one their ancestor made this fabrication but instead we see that  Hazrat Isa (a.s)  himself admitted this Apt as true and just interpreted it instead of saying that this is a fabrication
so our supposition is totally wrong. When Prophet of the GOD ,  Hazrat Isa (a.s)  did not said it is fabrication then who else can claim that this is a false tradition.
And when we see that one prophet corroborated the prophecy of the coming of the Elijah , then if Quran is silent about it , even then how can we throw that verdict away ?
If it is proved that Jesus (as) have corroborated the prophecy and interpreted it then we can , for sure, use it.

2) secondly we suppose that it could be Christians who added this into bible

this supposition will be totally wrong as well.
there are two parts of the bible
1) Old testament , both Jews and Christians follow it .
2) New testament ,Only Christians follow it
Now as the Jews have the Old testament then it is impossible for any Christians to add something in their books. They were the enemies of the Christians
how could have they allowed Christians to change their book ?
can some one shed light on it ??

3) Third supposition could be that both jews and Christians sat down one day after jesus have gone away from palestine (either on sky as per your belief , or to kashmir).
Jews said to christian that we add Elijah coming in our book and you add a good answer to Elijah not coming in this world.

this third part is hilarious as well.

Hence nether jews nor Christians added Elijah coming in bible themselves. Indeed this was the prophecy told to Jews from their prophets .Hazrat Isa (a.s)  himself authenticated that particular Verse in which Elijah second coming from the skies was mentioned and interpreted it beautifully.

Final Message
==============

Sooner of later you have to die , you cannot never say in front of the GOD that because Quran did not mentioned this story that is why we consider this part of bible as the false thing.
there is an internal evidence which tells that this part is true and Indeed there was the prophecy that Elijah shall return.

Keep Hazrat Muhammad (saw) permission in your mind that we are allowed to quote from the books of the Bani israel.
Also keep that Muslims were foretold that they will follow the foot steps of the Jews.
And keeping both the things in mind , you will have to learn lessons from what Jews did in past and have to avoid doing that thing.

Hence your claim is partially acceptable that Quran have not mentioned the Elijah prophecy , but it is not necessary condition that if Quran does not mention something then it is FALSE.
In such matters we can use our mind and other evidence to learn the truth.

Fear the GOD. Accept what  Hazrat Isa (a.s) said

Fear this Hadith

The Prophet () said, "You will follow the wrong ways, of your predecessors so completely and literally that if they should go into the hole of a mastigure, you too will go there." We said, "O Allah's Messenger Do you mean the Jews and the Christians?" He replied, "Whom else?" (Meaning, of course, the Jews and the Christians.)

Aloe and Myrrh: modern day analysis of two ancient herbs

By Arif Khan .. Edited by  Jonathan Ghaffar   Aloe and Myrrh are mentioned in the Gospel as being present immediately after the body of Hadhrat Isa (Jesus) was tended to by Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea; the presence of these medicinal plants has often been explained by Christian scholars as being part of an embalming process, whereas Hadhrat Masih Ma’ud (Mirza Ghulam Ahmad) in his treatise  “Masih Hindustan Mein”  (“Jesus in India”) described how they were essential ingredients for an ointment applied to Jesus’ wounds. What role do these herbs play today? Can an exploration of their modern day uses throw light on possible events 2000 years ago? The mention of the herbs appears in the Crucifixion story as it is recorded in the Gospel of John:

OINTMENT OF JESUS (Aloe and Myrrh)

After the crucifixion, the body of Jesus came into the hands of his disciples Joseph of Arimathea and Nicodemus The Gospel of John records that Nicodemus brought myrrh and aloes 'about a seventy-five pounds in weight' (John 19:39). These plants, particularly aloe plants, are considered medicinal and applied to wounds. It was used extensively in many ancient cultures is used even today to soothe open wounds. The Roman physician Pedanius Dioscrorides (c 75 B.C) recommended aloe for wounds and skin conditions. Alexander the Great's mentor, Aristotle, persuaded him to capture the island of Socotra to harvest the aloe plants for treating wounded soldiers. Interestingly, the medieval near eastern classic textbook of medicine entitled Canon of Medicine by Avicenna mentioned an ointment termed Marhami Isa (Ointment of Jesus).
